UK Parliamentarians supporting global efforts to end the existential threat of drug-resistant infections

We exist to raise the profile of antimicrobial resistance, the need to preserve antimicrobials through education on their appropriate uses (including non-human uses), the lack of new treatments for infections and to help accelerate efforts to discover, research and develop new treatments

The British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy serves as the Secretariat to the APPG

The following Parliamentarians serve as the Group’s Officers:

Chair: Julian Sturdy MP (Conservative)

Co-chair: Lord Hunt of Kings Heath (Labour)

Secretary: Maggie Throup MP (Conservative)

Treasurer: Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle (Green)
